Applications for the award open in August of each year, and close mid October. Interviews are held in November and selection is made in December.
Selection Criteria:
- You need to be a current first or second year student enrolled in a technical course, with the intention of continuing your studies in the year following the application year (i.e. next year).
- Approved tertiary institutions are: Unitec, MAINZ, SAE, Toi Whakaari
- You need talent, aptitude, passion and commitment to make it as a professional theatre and event technician.
- You need to be able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
- Above all you need to display a professional work ethic which involves you being respectful, punctual, and applying high standards to yourself in everything that you do.
The successful applicant is expected to complete the year of tertiary study for which the award applies.
Should the applicant wish to withdraw from the course during the scholarship year, the Trust, at its discretion, may require repayment of the scholarship grant.
